Diamond Core Bits

Shop professional-grade diamond core bits from World Diamond Source® for fast penetration through concrete, masonry, and stone. We maintain a massive, immediately available inventory of specialized drilling tools—including hard-to-find large diameter core bits up to 36 inches and extra-long barrels for deep-hole drilling. Engineered to cut clean through heavy rebar and steel tension cables, our lineup includes X-Pro patterned diamond core bits, soft bond turbo core bits, and specialized prestressed concrete core bits.

Whether your project requires production wet diamond core bits or handheld dry diamond core bits for brick and block, our formulas maximize footage and tool life. We stock a full range of bond formulations alongside vital accessories like core bit tube extensions, adapters, and replacement diamond segments to keep your core rigs turning with zero lead-time delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wet or dry core bits, which do I need?

Wet bits cut faster, last longer and run cooler, and they are what you use on concrete, especially anything deep or reinforced. Dry bits exist for situations where water is not an option, and we stock dry bits for concrete and for block. If you can get water to the hole, cut wet.

What diameters and lengths do you carry?

Diameters from 3/4" up through 14", plus large-diameter bits above that. Our Pro-Series deep-hole wet bits come in 24" and 36" overall lengths, and we stock tube extensions when you need to go past that. Remember that a bit's overall length is not its usable drilling depth.

How do I choose the bond?

Match the bond inversely to the material: soft-bond turbo bits for hard concrete and hard aggregate, hard-bond bits for soft, green or abrasive concrete. We also stock bits made specifically for prestressed concrete, and X-Pro diamond-pattern bits where you want faster penetration. Tell us the slab and we will pick the bond.

Can these drill through rebar?

Yes, a diamond core bit cuts reinforcement, unlike a carbide hammer bit. Heavily reinforced or prestressed concrete asks more of the bit, which is why we stock bits specified for it. Ease off the feed pressure when you hit steel, keep the water flowing, and never let the bit stall in the cut.

What thread do these use, and do you stock adapters?

Core bit connections vary by rig, so we stock a range of core bit adapters and accessories along with tube extensions to bridge between your machine and the bit. Give us your drill's make and model and the thread you are running, and we will confirm exactly which adapter you need before you order.
