Walk Behind Saws

Match capacity to depth of cut: a blade cuts a little under half its diameter, so an 18" to 20" saw handles roughly 6" to 8" deep, while 26" to 36" machines are for deep slab and full-depth roadway cutting. Our range runs from 11.7 HP small saws up to 71 HP diesel flat saws. Buying more capacity than the work needs costs you in fuel, weight and handling.

Gas is the standard choice for general outdoor work and is the easiest to move between jobs. Electric is what you use indoors, in tunnels and in any enclosed space, because it produces no exhaust, though it needs the right supply, including three-phase on the larger models. Diesel is for the biggest continuous cutting on roadway and heavy slab work.

The saws are other manufacturers' machines, and we stock Core Cut® (Diamond Products) and Merit models. Our own manufacturing is the diamond tooling, so the blades are World Diamond Source and the saws are the brands that crews already know and service. For occasional short cuts, a push saw is lighter, cheaper and perfectly adequate. If your crews cut long straight runs day after day, self-propelled pays for itself in accuracy and fatigue, since holding a line by hand over a long pass is what produces a wandering cut. Most of our medium saws are available either way.

Our walk-behind blades run a 1" arbor with a wet pin hole and are stocked from 14" through 72", covering every machine in this range. What matters is that the blade size stays within the saw's rated capacity and the drive pin pattern matches your flange.
