What is a beveled concrete blade used for?

It cuts a chamfered or V-shaped groove instead of a straight slot, which is how you put a finished bevel on a concrete edge, chase a control joint into a V, or prepare a joint for sealant. A standard flat blade cuts a square kerf and cannot produce that profile in one pass.

What is the difference between the V-shaped and square-shaped blades?

The V-shaped blades cut an angled chamfer, which is what you want for a beveled edge or a V-groove joint. The square-shaped blades cut a flat-bottomed slot of a set width, which is what you want when a sealant or filler has to sit in the joint. We stock both in 8" with a 1" arbor and pinhole, and we make a square-shaped version specifically for asphalt.

What sizes and thicknesses do you stock?

Single 8" blades in .375" and .500" thickness, all 1" arbor with a pinhole. For larger work we build bevel blade sets: a 12" set that cuts a 10" bevel and a 14" set that cuts a 12" bevel. The set gives you the full profile in one setup rather than making multiple passes with a single blade.

Why is a bevel blade sold as a set?

On the larger sizes the profile is made by stacking blades and spacers, so the set arrives matched and ready to mount. Buying the parts separately risks a mismatched stack, which cuts an uneven profile and puts side load on the arbor. Order the set for the bevel width you need and it mounts as one assembly.

Will these fit my walk-behind saw?

They use a 1" arbor with a wet pin hole, which is the standard mount on walk-behind concrete saws, and the blade must stay within your saw's rated capacity. Bevel blade sets are wider than a single blade, so the saw needs the arbor length and guard clearance to take the stack. Call us with your saw make and model and we will confirm before you order.
