Tub Saw & Tile Saw Blades

Use a thin continuous-rim blade made for porcelain and let the saw feed itself. Our Zipper® Pro porcelain blades (black) and Mesh Zipper® Pro blades (red) are built for it, and the Zipper® Heavy Duty porcelain blades (blue) are for high-volume work in dense tile. Our thinnest porcelain blades run a .045" kerf, so they remove less material and put less stress on the glaze.

Blades from 6" through 14". Arbor holes include 5/8", 7/8", 1" and 1-1/4", and our 12" and 14" blades are available with a 50 mm mount. Order the arbor your saw actually takes rather than relying on a reducer bushing, which can let the blade run off-center.

Yes. Our Pro Series glass tile blades come in 7", 8" and 10" and are made specifically for glass and glass mosaic, where a standard porcelain blade will chip the cut edge. Glass needs a very fine, continuous rim and a slow, steady feed with plenty of water.

Tub saw and tile saw blades are wet-cutting blades. Water cools the core, flushes the slurry out of the cut and is what keeps the edge from chipping. Make sure the pump is actually delivering water to both faces of the blade, since a dry-running wet blade will lose its edge and can warp the core.

For tile, thinner is better: we stock .042", .045", .060" and .080" kerfs. A .042" or .045" blade removes the least material and gives the cleanest edge in porcelain and ceramic. Step up to .060" or .080" for stone, thick pavers and anything where the extra core stiffness matters more than a fine edge.
